EllisDon is set to start work soon on a second pilot project under a carbon impact initiative that it launched last summer.

It will begin redevelopment of the historic kiln building at Evergreen Brick Works. Conversion of the 53,000-square-foot, Building 16 will create a hub for collaboration in building sustainable cities. It will also provide an opportunity to test and drive change for future low-carbon cities across the country.

Ontario’s transportation minister has announced plans to address the Auditor General’s recommendations to improve road construction in the province.

Minister Steven Del Duca said, “Since the Auditor General released her report last November, Ministry of Transportation staff have been hard at work identifying ways to address the auditor's seven recommendations. The result of that work is a comprehensive plan that will enhance oversight, ensure value for money and improve asphalt pavement quality for Ontario's roads.”
