The Canadian Red Cross is pleased to announce that 10 banks in Canada will be accepting cash donations from the public in support of Red Cross efforts to assist those affected by the massive wildfires in Alberta.
"This is the largesr fire-related evacuation in Alberta history," says Conrad Sauve, president and CEO of the Canadian Red Cross. "Thanks to participatin banks, Canadians will have another method to donate to support Red Cross activities in response to this emergency."

From April 26-30, 2016, Ritchie Bros. sold 10,200-plus equipment items and trucks for more that $240 million at its 200-acre Edmonton, Alta. auction site, making it the company's largest Canadian auction ever and the second-largest auction in company history. The five-day auction attracted 16,700-plus bidders from 55 countries – a new company record, surpassing the previous record by 19 per cent.
